MattThank you Matt! I don't need the console because I am buying the Command 8 very soon (Have to only pay for it). The 2626 is better in virtually every respect. the only reason I would get a 003 over the 2626 is if I was getting the console version Get the 2626, its definitely the better (not to mention cheaper) option. You also have to buy the software separately The 2626 also does has some limitation with ethernet controllers like the icon, but chances are you don't have one of those. The only downside of the 2626 is that you can't get the biggest toolkit, although the musicians one works, which is the only one you probably will want anyway. I have often read on here that the 2626 sounds better, but I never compared them side by side myself. It has more I/O when used with other DAWs besides pro tools.
It also has two adat ins, so you can use higher sample rates, or even 16 channels of external conversion. The 2626 has zero latency monitoring, that is its biggest advantage, as well as flexible routing I looked into it a lot and ended up with a 2626. And the standalone mode is important to me.the 2626 is better in virtually every respect. I got the Profire 610, thinking either about the 2626 or 003R.
